3 If needed and safe to do so over the phone, we'll talk you through making the situation safer until we arrive — for example, which breaker to switch off
4 On site, we make the immediate hazard safe first, then explain what caused it and what full repair involves

What actually counts as an electrical emergency versus something that can wait?

Sparking, burning smells, shocks, exposed wiring, water in a switchboard, or total power loss are genuine emergencies. A single power point not working or a light that's stopped working can usually wait for a standard booking, unless there's a specific safety concern — if you're not sure, call and we'll tell you honestly.

Is emergency call-out more expensive than a standard booking?

Yes, an after-hours or urgent call-out fee applies, and we'll tell you what that is on the phone before you commit to us coming out, so you're not caught out by the invoice.
